Has anyone tried these. Are they worth the money? I have been looking for some wireless speakers for some time but why are they not all wireless, only the rears?

i saw a review of those in tomshardware you should check it. however, wireless speakers need electric so they are not wireless actually :( i would prefer having cables from the computer rather than using 2 plugs for 2 speakers.

True. I never thought of the electricity part of that. Thanks. That will change soon. I saw a patent for wireless charging and apple is working on that in next gen ipods
    THE FUTURE IS HERE :)

That's a really good point. At one point I was debating between the 5450s and the 5500s, but what's the point in wireless if you need wires anyway? It's just as much of a hassle to wire the power cable as it is an RCA cable or speaker wire.

I always figured wireless speakers would be battery-operated. They plug into the wall?? How lame.

Yeah well in a way that can be a good thing...

batteries are expensive. And imagine how much power the speakers would

    suck out of the batteries.

you may have to plug it in -- but pretty interoir decorating can cover those cords!!
