Alright in a few months I am getting a M17x and need a mouse to game with i am looking at two the most the fist one being the Cyborg R.A.T. 9. I really like the look of this mouse although on Newegg the reviews are not that hot and I do have a few questions about the wirelessness of this mouse as in what type of wireless adaper plugs in to the computer. The other mouse that im looking at is the Logitech G700 it has great reviews and i like the 13 programmable buttons. I am open to other suggestions I perfer wireless ment for gaming but i will look and think about getting a cord one if the cord is not long

The RAT9 uses a hub (like the Mamba) where you have space to charge the spare battery and place your extra weights.
The G700 uses a nano receiver but will need to recharge using a separate USB cable that's included.
I own both mice and have mixed feelings about each of them. I prefer the feel and comfort of the RAT9 (adjustable by using the other changeable parts for grip) over the G700, but the sensor is quite horrible at times. The G700 has more buttons and a lot more portable to bring around (nano receiver fits inside the mouse).
The Cyborg software is easier to use and set, however the RAT9 lacks on-board memory so you have to set profiles via the software rather than on-board memory (G700).
It's best if you could try out both mice beforehand and see which one feels more comfortable. -
Well I am going to be using the m17x for school and will probly take the mouse with me to school and such that's why I was wondering about the wireless connector I'm thinking about the G700 but do you know of any other wireless gaming mice that use Bluetooth or a micro connector?
Oh one more thing how is the battery life on them two?

No gaming mice use blutooth because blutooth is not good for that at all. Too many lag and latency issues. It is why logitech wireless mice have all but abandoned blutooth and instead solely have their 2.4Ghz wireless mice with micro receivers. They do have one blutooth mouse, but only for tablets where using the built-in blutooth is easiest.
So any good wireless mouse is not going to use blutooth, and you can't have a big dongle or receiver if you want it to be portable, so you are not left with many options. You might want to get whatever gaming mouse you want plus a small cheap wireless mouse to take with you to school. -
can u go to a B&M store and test out difference mice? see what fits your grip the best.
my vote goes to the G700, but i'm pretty bias towards Logitech when it comes a quality mouse. -
Ok Bluetooth mice = bad for gaming well I'm going to keep looking for a gaming mouse wireless or with a short cord is fine by me if anyone wants to give suggestions

I also prefer wireless mice to play games with; I was running a pretty fun pvp team with my friend on WoW for a while and hated the wires. I personally used the microsoft sidewinder x8. I prefer the larger mice, and it is quite large, so you might not like it.
Between the G700 and the RAT, I would say the G700 is going to be better. if you're taking the thing to school, I don't think the hub for the RAT is going to be very portable... personal opinion based on the product's site description, I don't have these mice myself.
Side note, who actually uses that many buttons? When I was selecting the peripherals for my desktop set-up, I was thinking of the buying the RAT 9 too, but decided not to because of price. I remember reading over the G700, but ignored it because who the heck actually uses 13 buttons o.o? I did fine in pvp 2s teams on WoW with the sidewinder x8 and I really only got it for the two extra thumb buttons. -
my razer orochi uses bluetooth and I've no lag at all.
I've tried the G700 and I hate it. RAT9 is very superior in all aspects. it's the ultimate wireless gaming mouse. actually if it was wired it would be the best wired one.
I've been using one since 2years ago on a daily bases and I never regreat it the absurdly high amount of money it costed. it's all worth it in the end of the day. it's like a ferrari, it's expensive, but it's worth it. -

Rat 9 with 6400dpi all the way. G700 is great but not as cool as stylish.
Rat 9 is best so far in my opinion.
Mamba 4G , those glossary plastic would get scratch easily but it has cool glowing leds , but not razer logo sadly.
Naga Epic , personally I'm not used with those number front/back button , but its really good for fps , lol , dota or any games that use 1~12 keys. Don't really like the round dock.
Cyborg MMO7 , wired - I hate wired mouse and it's my first wired mouse could be last.
Cyborg R.A.9(5600dpi) , this is the best mouse I ever had , I been using it 2years , still looks new , and dropped so many times , durable still look like new.
These are just personal opinion , if you would like more info about rat9 , pm me anytime. -
Sucks that there is not that many wireless mice meant for gaming that can be used mobile on a laptop haha
But does the rat 9 have a wire like the G700?
Also I don't mind using a wired mouse as long ad it has a fairly short cord do any of y'all of any that a fairly short cord?

I have the Razer Orochi and Kabuto mouse mat to go with it, and it's really great, basically for gaming you plug it in to get high dpi low latency ultra polling and all the rest of that... but for normal day to day use the bluetooth works fine and saves on the wires and not requiring any dongle - best of both worlds imo.

EDIT after looking at it on razor's website I couldn't seem to find if it had any programmable buttons

My mouse has less friction and makes less noise on my mouse pad than on my desk. Also my wrist feels more comfortable on the mousepad than on the desk.

Well the R.A.T. 9 seems nice haven't tried it though.. but I have tried the R.A.T. 7
it's nice
I've currently got the Steelseries Sensei, and I must admit it's nice. So my vote (obviously) goes towards the Sensei, the G500 and maybe the G700 (it seems nice, but not beautiful)
- check the link in my sig to see my thread regarding different mice, several people responded with good feedback -
1 micro USB connector
2 has some programmable buttons
3 has a wire if need
Those are the 3 main thins it also has a lot of great reviews as well as the price

Just one more question guys how is the battery life of the G700 and the R.A.T. 9

Cons :
No ingame low battery indicator , that means you won't notice if the battery runs out. (usually I check the battery , make sure it's 100% before I start gaming , all is about how you arrange those batteries to be charged , I have 4 batteries)
Dock , the dock is pretty cool design , but the shape is hard to be stored in travel bag , but I think this mouse is not design for travel.
No cord based charging , personally I don't need one , but I'm sure most people wants it. -
Thank for all your help guys but I think I'm going to go with the G700 for portability and others

thanks
good choice

DPI is more of a gimmick than anything else. All you really need is 2000 DPI for game like counter strike.
I too am biases toward Logitech because their quality is top notch and it come with a three year warrantly. Also it the safer buy but the Rat 9 look sick!
I'm too scare to try another brand sadly. Maybe Razor if they make a wireless deathadder.
Also i don't have much money so I can't afford to take risk.
OP G700 is an excellent choice! -
