So ive had this old logitech optical mouse for about a good 5-6 years, its slowly starting to fall apart on me

and im looking for a new mouse now

    what would you recomend?

i have a bit of a budget so i can spend at least 30-$40 bucks

i would prefer not to be wireless, as i most likely would lose the wireless adapter

bluetooth would be cool since my notebook does have built in bluetooth support

and a fullsized mouse too, i cant stand those mini travaller mouses

    any suggestions?

    thanks

I really like the Logitech G-5 and MX 518. I have seen the MX-518 as low as 30 bucks. REALLY nice comfortable and accurate mouse for the price.

just before christmas i bought a logitech V450 Nano (nano stands for the usb receiver, not the mouse size :) ), and it's really pretty good.

it's not a mini-traveller mouse, but in the other hand also not as huge as my previous intellimouse. the receiver is so small, that you can keep it in the usb without removing it, so that you don't risk losing it.

anyway, you'd maybe need to try if it's not too small for your hand.

edit to add: it's being discussed in following thread... http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=254642

for your budget, i think the Logitech MX 518 can't be beat. if you've got a bit more, Cyber Snipa Stinger is a brilliant piece.

I am not a big fan of the wireless mice but that one did get pretty good reviews. I still like the cord. :D

You should consider a Bluetooth Mouse...

Right now you can get the Microsoft Bluetooth Wireless 5000 for about $32.00 at dell.com. It's a great mouse!
I added the MS BTooth because I consider it to be an all around mouse.

Here is a config' on it at dell.com...I configured it with a 20% coupon for accessories (valid til 1/2/09). $31.99~
    https://ecomm2.dell.com/dellstore/ba...7-4c99060b770a

Here is the 20% off accessory coupon code: 2ZQR81H710$KB$ (valid thru 1/02/09 at 11:59 PM). If you have Dell EPP you can save even more.

The VX Nano is also a great mouse!

I think Dell has some great saving on this, also (with the 20% code above).

And, here is a link to a post in Tech Bargains for the MX Revolution for like $40, at Best Buy.

    Good luck!

    Cin ;) :)

The MX Revolution is the best mouse I ever own cost me $130 when I got it because I got the Razer eXactMat and eXactRest Bundle - Mouse Pad and Wrist Rest.

When you buy the best mouse you need the best pad.
