Look like you already bought the swissgear, but eh, I'll tell you about my suggestion anyways.

    The Targus Feren

I got it for $30 on sale at best buy, but the cheapest I could find it with a quick google search was: $40 +$5 shipping new at Amazon

It looks good, and comes in a variety of colors.

It's got amazing build quality, after over a year of daily use running around the city there is virtually no wear and tear.

The straps and the part that goes against your back are padded and have a little mesh thing so it doesn't make you sweat.

The outside pocket, AND the two water bottle holders are insulated, so you can keep some food and 2 beverages cold.

The part where your notebook goes is padded on all sides and has enough room for larger notebooks, with a strap to keep it secure.

The main compartment has 2 big elastic mesh pockets in it, while the middle compartment has various pockets for pencils and various other things.

Most I can fit in it: Inspiron 1520, Power Supply, Mouse, 2 Textbooks, 2 folders, 2 notebooks, with enough room to spare for my graphing calculator and miscellanious supplies like pencils and notecards and stuff. And I guess I could put something in the cooler pocket too but I never use it, and it gets heavy enough with all that other stuff.

The only real downside is that you might need more room, but it's just fine for my needs as a college student with several classes every day.
