I'm looking for a Bluetooth mouse with 5 buttons. With my desktop I have been using a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical for years and love it (has 2 side buttons, one on each side). I am now looking for a mouse for my laptop. Can anyone recommend something similar for Bluetooth?

    Thanks.

I looked at the v400 thread, but from what I can tell it is not bluetooth. Looks like I may be out of luck for a good bluetooth mouse for a while.

    Its not BT.

    Is the mouse for traveling?

Try the Logitech mx900, or if you can find it, the BT version of the mx1000

I want to travel with it, but I don't mind size. My laptop will have internal bluetooth and was exploring mice available for it. By initially saying 5 buttons, I am talking about one that includes an internet forward and back button. According to the Logitec specs, the mx1000 has forward/back, but no the g7.

From what I found outside this forum the mx900 and the Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for bluetooth are the only good BT mice with the buttons I want. I found a review that said the Microsoft's battery lasted 3 times as long as the mx900. How long will the mx900 last on a charge?

I looked on the Logitech website and it didn't say that the mx1000 or g7 is bluetooth, just wireless. They are both listed as using RF for its wireless and seem to need the base station connected the the computer for use. I like that they are recharcheable in its base, but I don't want to have to plug it in to use it.

To Delvien: Are you saying your mx1000 is actually bluetooth or just RF wireless?

On a related note, if I want to play fast paced games with a mouse should I forget about the bluetooth models?

I'm using a Bluetooth MX1000 Also. It comes with the MX5000 keyboard/mouse combo from Logitech. Mouse is awesome.

I wrote a complaint to Logitech about their website. I was going through using their check and compare feature. I was seeing which mice (wired and wireless) have forward/back buttons. Many of the higher end mice (according to the chart) didn't have them, but if you went to the product's detailed view some actually did have them when the chart said they didn't.

I really don't know what to make of their site. You guys say the mx1000 is bluetooth, Logitech doesn't mention it. I just don't know what to trust on their site.

I think, the retail 'mouse only' version of the mx1000 does not have BT only the mx5000 KB+Mouse combo does
