I'm looking for a cheap name-brand all-in-one printer. I am down to two choices:

    Lexmark X3350
    HP PSC 1410v

I am most interested in the future cost of ink. The Lexmark color and high-yield black ink cartridges cost $21 and $24 respectively. The HP color and black ink cost $18 and $15 respectively. However I do not know the capacity or ink effeciency for each. Has anyone had any experience with either model? Thank you. :)

Lexmark printers are a piece of crap, I highly advise you to not buy them.

HP makes the best printers in this poster's opinion, they have some very reasonably priced all-in-ones. Some I think under $100, such as the one you posted.

I suggest you getting the HP 1610v. I love it. Just for $110 it's alot better than the 1410v, which my parents have.

Glad you enjoy your printer. I actually registered to suggest you maybe avoid the HP, but it doesn't matter now that you have it and like it. :)

Anything HP I have ever had has just been... bloated. The desktops and laptops family members have owned have always had way too much stuff preinstalled, and my HP printer was a bit of a pain that way too. It wanted to put way more stuff on my hard drive than I wanted, and had several running processes going in my task manager. As a bit of a minimalist on those things, HP bugged me.

I'm very happy for you with your purchase, though. Nothing feels better than buying something like that and having it exceed all your expectations. Congrats! :D

I bought two of the Epson intro all in ones (CX 3810) this week; 33.58 after coupon and rebate. Staples rebates are great, no mailing anything in, and I always get them. I believe the sale is on through today (Feb 18) I get my ink from lasermonks.com and it works well unless you let a printer set for any length of time. Letting it set means you have to run a few cleaning cycles first.
