For wired headphone I would look at the Sennheiser PX * line. I have 2 pair of the PX100's and love them. (one at work and one as a carry around) Great sound, titanium construction, foldable. The bummer is that they have wires. I have yet to find a decent set of wireless headphones.

Headphones or a headset? Circumaural (around ear) or superaural (on ear)?

Also if you could tell us what your primary use of them will be that would be most helpful.

Grado SR60, Shure E2c, Sennheisner PX100. Take your pick, but if you would help us limit the amount of choices like telling us which kind you want like Chad mentioned that would help out.

BOSE is the four-letter word for audiophiles. Few months ago, I had a chance to compare Bose headphones with other headphones in a nearby electronic store back home - for some reason, they had Bose isle between Sennheiser and Audio-Technica. And well, Bose Triport sounded terrible - it didn't compare with likes of Sen HD555 or ATH-AD700 at all (both are somewhat cheaper than Triport, mind you). Even much cheaper HD515 or ATH-AD400/A500 have much better sound than Triport. If anything, Triport sounded like these 20$ headphones- horrible mid and high, very loud but muddy Bass. So, no - please do yourself a favor and avoid Bose.

I've had the PX100's for a long time, still use them, and still very happy with them.
