    Anyone know of any good buys on an LCD display, 19 - 22 " that has a built in usb hub?

    Dell for sure, they have inexpensive but pretty good LCD monitors for sale.

    Check their site, they also tend to have tons of sales/coupons.

    can i ask what the USB hub is for? is that simply to power up usb devices? a connection for the computer to display on the monitor via usb? or what exactly?

    The purpose of the USB hub is that you have a cleaner look - you wont have a USB hub sitting separately on your desk - instead having it integrated into the monitor would be one less piece of hardware taking up space.

    Exactly. While its not ideal for all devices it comes in handy. Many of the Dells include them however buy.com just had a 20" inch Acer widescreen for $169 free shipping. The sale is over but they tend to come back every couple of weeks. The Acer does not have usb ports but I really don't want to spend an extra $100 just to have the usb feature. So I was posting hoping I could find an lcd with usb hub for not much higher than the Acer deal (less than or close to $200)
