Hi, looking for the above mouse, but I googled it, it was like being released in 2004..Some 5 years ago, wondering got any new mouse that has the same or better features than this?

What I like is the dedicated volume up/down buttons..

Actually, I don't mind an used mediaplay mouse, anyone seling?

    Thanks for the inputs..

The logitech vx revolution sure looks nice..

I think the + / - zoom buttons can be configured to act as volume controls..

I have a 5 buttons mouse myself.. The 2 buttons on the side are forward/back for scrolling web pages.. It's universal, meaning no need software, just plug and play.. Just like the 2 left/right click buttons..

Any more mouse to recommend? At least 8 buttons type, so I can configure 2 buttons to act as volume controls.. ;)

I don't think the +/- buttons control volume. I also have a logitech MX518 mouse and the Setpoint software doesn't have the option for volume with the +/- buttons. This may be different on other logitech mice, but it's likely that it's going to be similar with the MX518.

You can hack it easily enough - there are utilities which allow for system-wide volume hotkey control, and you can assign that hotkey to a button.

Wondering if original poster ended up finding something that worked. I also have a mediaplay mouse but it seems to be dying on me now. When I click and drag things, it tends to "let go" a lot. This just started within the past few weeks. I'm not sure if it's a software or mechanical issue though, but I did just reformat my computer and reinstall latest drivers, so i'm thinking it's not software related.

I've been looking all around and can't find any mice that have dedicated media control buttons, kind of disappointing :(

Hi, actually what I am looking at in my first post is something that can let me control the volume when watching a show.

Well, all along I have it, is just that the mouse don't come with any manual.

This is the mouse I bought from ebay.

It is a 6 buttons mouse: left/right click, 1 scroll wheel, 1 resolution selection button, forward/back buttons.

The forward/back buttons got 2 functions. When surfing internet pages, it does what it is stated. The secret is when I am watching a movie, it acts as a VOLUME CONTROL(up/down the volume). I never know this, is just I happened to accidently click it and the VOLUME ChANGES..

This whole episode is like the grass is greener over the next pasture.. I don't have the mediaplay mouse, so I want to have it, while all along I have something which I wanted for the functions..
