Hello there! So I've ordered the MSI GE60 2OE yesterday, and it's going to arrive in about 2 weeks. Bought a Gaming Laptop because I'm going to be traveling alot and the PC that I'm using isn't able to play any games because of it's low specs.

    Anyway:

Mouse - Razer DeathAdder 2013 - Amazon.com: Razer DeathAdder 2013 Essential Ergonomic Gaming Mouse (RZ01-00840100-R3U1): Electronics. But should I get a wireless mouse?

Headset - SteelSeries Siberia V2 - Amazon.com: SteelSeries Siberia V2 Full-Size Gaming Headset (Black): Electronics Or should I stick with my iPod headphones? I was interested in the Siberia V2 because it has a mic and has good ratings.

Controller - Xbox 360 Wireless - Amazon.com: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - Glossy Black: Electronics I didn't really want a controller, but I bought Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition for $9 at Steam and people say the PC Controls were bad. And other games like Super Meat Boy, Runner 2, and Rogue Legacy (as I researched) have bad PC controls. Anyway, should I get the Wireless one or the Wired one?

Thank you reading this post! Leave suggestions or tell me if the accessories I posted are good as well!

No. Wired mice are far superior to wireless mice. They are better in performance, cost, and battery life. Especially since you have an optical mouse sensor (which is far better than high-dpi laser sensors due to reliability of tracking on imperfect mousing surfaces, and cost).

At this point, you're probably better off sticking with a pair of entry-level audiophile headphones, and using Razer's surround sound software package for virtual surround sound support. The current "OMG-I-don't-believe-it" value purchase for headphones is a pair of $25 headphones from Monoprice ( link). I'd buy a pair of those, and get an external mic (like the Zalman ZM-1 clip-on mic for $8) to create a headset. You'll get far better audio quality out of that kind of setup than you would with a dedicated gaming headset

Yes, Xbox controller is the way to go for a PC gaming controller.

Wired or wireless doesn't matter. Wired is going to be cheaper (especially if you buy used), and have superior battery life. Wireless will give you the option of fewer cables (so you can play on an HDTV in Steam Big Picture mode), at the cost of a higher price and forcing you to deal with battery life. It's entirely up to you whether the convenience of wireless outweighs the inconveniences.

Mouse: Okay so I won't get a wireless mouse. So do you think the Razer DeathAdder would be fine? Or should I get another mouse?

Headset: I mean I have a Blue Yeti USB Microphone already. But I think it would be annoying to carry it around. So should I just have a Blue Yeti + iPod Headphones setup. Or go with your sugguestion?

Controller: I mean the wireless and wired controller have somewhat of a close price. I was thinking of getting the wireless one and buy a changer pack with it.

But thank you for your input kent! ^_^

Razer DeathAdder is more than fine. It uses an optical sensor, which I actually prefer far more to high-DPI laser sensors. Even if someone gave me a $100+ top-end gaming mouse (uses high-DPI laser sensor), I'd throw that mouse away and still go back to a $40 Logitech G400 or Razer DeathAdder, because of the optical sensors in those mice.

Ditch the Blue Yeti mic. It is far too large for what you need.

Remember, you don't need a studio-quality microphone for in-game VoIP chat. Heck, when I travel, I don't even bring a microphone with me at all. I carry around a pair of small canalphones ( Etymotic HF5) for portability, and just use the built-in mic on my laptop for chat. Remember, the mic only needs to be clear enough for the person on the other end to understand you. You don't need studio-quality recording for in-game chat.
