Looking for a Backpack for Origin Laptop EON17-SLX

Hello, I'm new to this forum, but thought this would be a great place to post my question. At the beginning of the year, I purchased Origin's Eon17-SLX (no longer offered) and I love it, but what I don't love is trying to find a back pack for it. I've been doing research, pretty much since I shelled out the cash and still don't have one. For a time, I thought the Samsonite Tectonic PFT 17" would work, but, alas, the zipper can't make it over the corners. I loved the idea of the pocket with re-sizable depth and it had plenty of storage besides. I, like others I've seen on threads here, am also concerned about the bottom padding / distance from laptop to ground--but I AM willing to add my own if I have to.

I'm currently interested in the Slappa M.A.S.K. series, but since it's only available online, so I fear that I'll have the same issue I had when test fitting the Tectonic PFT (the corners didn't fit). Si3 posted an article about the M.A.S.K here and test-fitted his G73JH--the corners were pretty close, but he said "Its looks like its a little close to not fitting, but in actuality it fits nicely! I didn't have any trouble closing the zipper up all the way. No tricks, methods, or any other non-sense...." His computer is .2" shorter, 1.34" deeper, and 0.15" thinner....the physical dimensions (in inches) of my computer are below, along with some bags I've at least looked at:

Origin SLX 16.5 x 11.26 x 1.95
M.A.S.K 16.5 x 12.5 x 2.5
Mobile Edge 17 x 11.5 x 2.0
AW Orion 20 x 15.5 x 7.0
Everki EKP133 16.5 x 11.0 x 1.5

I'm really drawn to the Slappa M.A.S.K. and the Everki EKP133 looks promising, but I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on the quality of Everki's bags. Since I can't test fit the M.A.S.K., I'm left with 2 options (the latter of which is more drastic & desperate):
1) Does anyone here happen to have the same laptop as me AND a Slappa backpack, who could you make any comments or recommendations?
2) Would anyone who owns a Slappa M.A.S.K., living near enough to Chicago/Milwaukee, be willing meet me so i can test-fit my computer--it told you it was a more drastic option.....

Now, one last thing: price. I'm not going to nit-pick on price. I paid a pretty penny for my laptop, so I'm not about to skimp on its travel accommodations.
