I use my studio xps 1340 with a wired, external optical mouse. I would like to get a wireless mouse instead because I hate the wires.
I would like one that has one of those small USB receivers that barely sticks out of the USB port.

    My budget is $25.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks

this would fit in quite well. Logitech V220 , complete with the micro receiver, although not as small as those nano receivers. If i were you, i would try increase your budget and get one of those VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouses. Ive heard that theyve been having great deals that were around 40-50USD and they have the nano receiver youve been looking for.

haha, Indrek beat me to it. VX Nano FTW!! Best notebook cordless mouse.

    I found this on ebay
I'm not in a huge hurry to buy so I'll keep looking around for it.

    Thanks

Consider checking the accessories forum instead of this one. Have you looked at BT mice? No receiver :D

+1 Nano is definitely the way to go. The nano receiver can remain in the USB port indefinitely, and is completely unobtrusive.

I've heard of bluetooth mice but I have never before used bluetooth...
I don't even think my 1340 has bluetooth.
    Hmmm

Even if your laptop doesn't have a Bluetooth card pre-installed, you can buy one on eBay for $20, and the self-installation is some of the easiest work I've ever done on a notebook. Then, just download the drivers and you're set.

Last month I did exactly that on my Studio 1535, and it's been working flawlessly with my Dell Bluetooth Travel Mouse ever since (which is an excellent mouse, by the way. One of the only 5-button Bluetooth mice available).

If you have a Fry's nearby, you can buy the Logitech nano V550 this weekend for $20 after rebate.

Or you can get the V450 from frys.com after rebate, for $20.

The V550 has an advertised 18 month battery life.

Like others have mentioned, Logitech is a brand that excels at almost everything it makes. ESPECIALLY its mice, even moreso if you are into gaming at all.

Go to their website and they have a section specifically for notebook mice. Im sure youll find one you like
