Try the Slappa M.A.S.K, I found a review on the forum and bought it for my M17x and it's perfect. It fits everything with space to spare and is very well put together. A bit expensive but worth it.

You look @ the Tom Bihn Brain Bag or others of theirs? Here's a report on my almost decade old one + new Brain Sleeve I just got for the 8740w: http://forum.notebookreview.com/acc...lution-hp-8740w-along-others-photo-essay.html

I imagine not even that 2S sleeve will work for the M17x tho; maybe the 2M will but you'd have to turn it sideways as that's a horizontal sleeve. (you have to visit their site which I link to @ the bottom of the 1st post in the thread above to see the dimensions of the 2M sleeve to determine if it'll work)

    Check out SPIREUSA bags
    Spire: Laptop Backpacks

They have been around for a VERY long time and make super durable bags that last forever.
I tested fitted my Sager 9280 in a backpack with a Boot (Size F), LOTS of room.

I really want to buy one myself... but $200USD +shipping +duties is a bit steep.

I got a swiss gear pegasus from staples on sale last week for $50. I don't know if its still on but worth a try for such a nice bag. It fits my dv7 very nicely.
