I'm looking for a budget notebook mouse that still gets the job done and is of good quality. I can't be bothered to change batteries all the time, so I'd definately want a wired one. All I'll need is 4-way scrolling. I'll still be using my notebooks touchpad (I love it), but I'll use the mouse when I do some photoshop work or MAYBE the occasional game or two. Anyone got some suggestions?

PS. On a side note, how long does the touchpad on a notebook usually last for (ie. when does the colour wear off, when does it break etc etc)? I'm using a HP Pavilion notebook, if that helps.

You can grab a Logitech G5 for 25$ ish check pricegrabber or shopbot and find the cheapest and ask a store you trust for pricematch. Great bang for the buck

I was gonna suggest the Dell Bluetooth mouse. I leave it on all the time and I only have to change the batteries once every three months.
