I want to get a docking station for my new Laptop. I am getting a Inspiron 6400.

I want to be able to plug in as few wires as possible when I sit down/setup and be ready to go. I will be using a Dell 23" LCD TV as the monitor while at home.

    Suggestions?

    TIA,

    -Tim

I would probably suggest trying to get ahold of one of the new Belkin ExpressCard Docking Stations. That ought to eliminate all the wires except for the power cord if the TV takes a DVI connection.

I like the above suggestion, but if you are not deadset on the 6400, there are other laptops out there with proper docking stations. The Dell D820, HP nc8430 T60, etc have docking ports.

I already ordered the 6400, just waiting for it to arrive.

I'll takea look at the Belkin, thanks for the tip!

PS, the TV does have DVI and VGA in, it rocks!
