Title says it all, right now I am looking at the Razer DeathAdder, and Lachesis they seem to be the best. I want one that look cool and works very well. I have about $80 to burn and would prefer to buy it at Best Buy.

To help ya'll out as much as I can I have posted pic of my hand. :p

I guess the Razer Lachesis would be a good choice. I'm getting one soon. From what I've heard, it pwns the DeathAdder, but takes some getting used to because of its' unqiue and accuracy improving shape.

i tried both the lachesis out and the death adder out before. i ended up buying the deathadder since it feels alot better than the lachesis. i also think that 4000 dpi is kinda useless. you seem to have a pretty large hand too so i would rather go with the death adder. the small base at the end of the lachesis makes the lachesis not as comfortable as the deathadder.

i recommend you go to the razer blueprints forums to ask around. last time i went to the forums the lachesis had driver problems and some people said it was unusable.

If you get used to the Lachesis you might find it to really improve your accuracy. Since critics get a few weeks to get used to using the Lachesis's unique shape, they write up a much better review than trying it at the store or trying it for a day or two. The Copperhead just has the same shape as an ordinary mouse, that's why more people are going to recommend it without getting used to using it.

Hmm hard decision I really like the Lachesis but if it has driver issues that might be a problem. As for comfort has anyone used both right now I am using a VX nano and it is worthless for gaming but even with its very small size it is pretty comfortable.

Today I finally made the decision and bought a G9 for my laptop based on the comments in this forum. I got to try it out at my LCS and I was pleasantly surprised to find the mouse fit quite comfortably in my hand. The only thing I need to get used to is the wheel spin. Man, that wheel can spin! :)

I also picked up a Steel Series QcK mousepad for the G9 as well as a Steel Series SX for my desktop's G7.

I recommend you look into the Logitech G5 and G9 as well. I've used both and own the G9; it's been great in every way.

I have the Razer Deathadder and I absolutely love it. When I was looking into gaming mice to buy I was also choosing between the Deathadder and the Lachesis. I don't actually quite remember why I chose the Deathadder but I know for a fact that having 4000 dpi instead of 2000 dpi does not actually help whatsoever, but is just a marketing gimmick. I'd suggest you go look into the esreality hardware forum since they talk about mice quite a bit. In all honesty, the reason I didn't go with the G5 and G9 is that they look very unappealing to me, whereas I really liked the look of the Deathadder. The deathadder is just amazingly smooth though, but I can't say that the other recommended mice aren't since I haven't tried them.

there is a button on the bottom of the mouse that lets you make the wheel either click on let is spin frictionlessly.

Thanks. I discovered the button while fooling around with the weights and stuff. It made a huge difference and I prefer the ratchet mode.

It's funny because when I talked to the guy at the computer store about the wheel he was using it was in free spin mode and he said it just goes on and on. I asked if there was a button or something to turn it off and he said he didn't think so.
