I have a dell 700m laptop, and am looking for a good case. I already own a sleeve, and that offers protection from scratches. But I need to put my computer into my backpack, and with all the stuff in there it is in danger of getting damaged. Does anyone know about a product that would be a shell on the outside and soft on the inside, which is designed to have a laptop slide into the top and protect it on the sides from pressure?

    Thanks.

Check out the notebook sleeves at www.tombihn.com . The monolith model is made just for a backpack. They look to me like they would provide good protection.
