    Hey all,

So while waiting for my new T61p to be built (yay!) I'm shopping around for a new backpack to replace my old, free Dell backpack (My current Asus machine doesn't mind going in there, but I think the Thinkpad will object).

I'd like a nice "corporate" looking one (e.g. simple and all black), but I want a bit more versatility than the corporate models usually offer. I travel a lot, and sometimes for extended periods where I get put up in apartment style hotels, and so I need my laptop bag to double as a regular backpack (for a quick run out to a gym, pick up some groceries, etc). For instance I would like a waist strap, which is often left off the corporate style bags (and my current dell). It should also be washable (that running to the gym thing can cause issues :)).

Right now, it looks like the leading contender, in a somewhat empty ring, is the Targus Corporate Traveler Backpack - which was well reviewed here by Sarah M ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?p=3046135 ) but I was wondering what else I might be able to throw into the ring with it... any suggestions?

    Cheers!

Consider checking out a Kensington Contour backpack.

    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2425

It has a very nice corporate look, and it is quite functional. Very very comfortable even under heavy load (because of the lumbar support), and can carry quite a bit of stuff.

Although some "gripes" I have with it are: it IS a little bulky in my opinion, the
cell phone pocket on the shoulder strap is way to small to fit most models, and finally, the bottle holder on the side isn't very easy to use.

Anyways, just something for you to consider.

Cool... I have a Kensington contour roller, and really like it - But I've switched back to backpacks because they are so much better for my back. Everytime I searched on a Kensington Contour backpack though, I was coming up with this one:

which is not exactly my style :)

    Thanks!!!
