The BH200 has been a solid BT headset with pretty good audio quality, but it seems like it has a fairly weak connection with my new laptop which is an M11x R2. I used to use it with an XPS M1730 and could actually leave my apartment before any disruption or crackling would occur. Now, with the M11x, I sometimes can't move 10 feet away without audio distortion.
So, I'm looking for a better BT headset which maintains a strong connection within a good radius, no matter which system it's paired with, that also produces quality audio (I would actually use it for gaming and music). And, yes, I specifically want Bluetooth because I don't want wires or even the smallest USB receiver dongle. Any suggestions?

Well - if you don't mind a Bluetooth dongle hanging off you, then the Nokia BH-214 is a contender for the best audio quality, as you can plug any headphone into it. I can say - from plugging in everything from the bundled set to the Ultrasone Edition 8 into it - that audio quality is about as good as you'll get in Bluetooth (i.e. not that great), barring some hiss from the unit. Range is decent from my experience, although endurance is a tad short (8 hours audio claimed). The Jabra Clipper is another similar alternative. I haven't had one.

If a set of headphones worked great with one laptop but not another I say its a sign the second laptop has a weak bt signal more so than the headphones are at fault.
Still if your looking for some good quality BT headphones I recommend the Plantronics Pulsar 590's
I get great sound, great distance, great comfort, great battery life.
Depending on the model you buy (the A or the E) it can include a desktop charging dock and a 1/8" BT adapter so you can use them with any device with a headphone out and not only devices with native bluetooth.
If your M11x is the weakest link you can use that adapter instead of the internal BT.
I have a review posted from a while back when I got them, and of course if I still have the same great impression over a year later you know it was not a case of saying great things at first and then over time learning all the bad.
