    Would like recommendations for:

    - 23 or 24 inch

    - Suitable for sensitive eyes, not too bright and that the white color won't be too strong.

    - Matte screen

    - With height and tilt adjustments

    - Uses - Programming, Office, Internet, Movies, some graphics.

    - Thin and elegant

I've seen that IPS screens are recommended. Are they suitable for my needs? If so, what about Dell UltraSharp U2312HM or LG IPS231P?

    Thanks :)

Mostly personal preference, I would take a look at the BenQ and the Samsungs - go to a store and check them out first for yourself, only sure way to know what you want

    cheers ...

IPS produces a better image, which is suitable for any any use. I'm not familiar with LG IPS LCDs, but have had several Dells. They have been quite good.

Yes, Dells are indeed good. I saw a couple of ones and was very pleased with the picture.

The dell IPS monitors are very good and have very stands. I think the LG monitors actually use the same panels, but their stands aren't quite as good and don't have as many adjustments.
