    Hello everybody,

So my Logitech G700 just died on me after a 3 year life span plagued with double clicking and click and hold problems.

I've been looking into what the market has to offer at the moment and there are so many choices, but I wanna hear your opinions about a few mice that caught my attention the most.

As the title states I'm more of a claw gripper, I have average sized hands (the G700 was actually a bit too big for me), and I wanna use the mouse mainly for gaming but also for office work and every-day use. I mostly play FPS, Role-playing and action games, no MMOs at all so I don't need a lot of buttons.

The main candidates at this stage are the Roccat Kone XTD Optical, Razer DeathAdder Chroma, Razer Taipan, Mionix NAOS or AVIOR 7000, the Corsair Raptor M45 and the SteelSeries Rival.

I don't care about crazy gimmicky features or extreme DPI rates, and I'm not looking to win any trophies or contests. I'm just a pretty good gamer who wants to enjoy his off time playing games with a mouse that simply does what I tell it to do as accurately as possible without breaking or wearing out a couple of months down the road.

Here are the main points I'm concerned about:

    1) Reliability and build quality: Having experienced so many issues with the G700 I would like a well built mouse and most importantly I would like the left and right buttons to have a satisfying clicking response, not too loud, not too clunky.

    2) 2 buttons on the left side: Those are crucial to me as I use them all the time not just for gaming but also for work. So it's vital that they are well placed and have a good clickiness to them.

    3) A responsive wheel that won't scroll by accident when you're trying to press down.

    4) 2 extra buttons below the wheel would be ideal but those are not essential.

So out of the mice I stated above which one do you think fits these specifications the best? And are there issues in each of them I should be aware of?

Feel free to suggest any other mice that you believe to be better candidates than the ones I mentioned.

    Thanks in advance everybody!

    Cheers :)

G402, mionix avior, WMO 1.1A X80, G302, or G502 (might have wheel problem and is heavy).

You'd pick them in that particular order?

And what do you think about the Kone XTD optical? Because its ergonomics are perfect for my hand and its spec sheet is impressive. Are there any issues with it?

    Any other opinions guys?

I appreciate any help I can get especially from personal experience with these mice as I'm looking to place an order as soon as possible.

    Cheers

Congratulations on your happy purchase mate :)

Coming from a wireless mouse that I used 99% of the time plugged in I wanna avoid other wireless mice for the time being, I'm considering the G502 instead.

It's gonna be either that or the Kone XTD Optical, I have yet to make up my mind unfortunately

My 4 year ++ Asus ROG mouse is still going strong... This is why I don't buy fancy mice as they always break :D

I followed a somewhat similar path and ended up ordering a Roccat Kone Pure Military Edition Naval Storm

It looks very sturdy, has a great sensor, perfect size and ergonomics for me without being too fancy.

Can't wait to test it out!

    Cheers :)
