I have carpet in my computer room which distorts the sound coming out of my subwoofer, so I'm looking for a stand or table of some sort to raise it a few inches off the ground. Additionally, my sub is roughly 10" wide by 12" long, so the stand/table needs to be tiny.

For reference, this is the closest I've found so far, but it's still a bit too wide: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?p_id=9434. On top of that, shipping would cost $40, making it rather expensive in the end.

IKEA, or you can always make one yourself. It's not as hard as it seems. You don't even need all the power tools. That's what I did when I needed a laptop mat for my bed. I got a piece of plywood from Home Depot, they cut it down to size for me. I did the final cut with a router to make the edges even and rounded. Sand, stain, polyurethane. Good to go!
