Hi, i am living in a dorm room and am trying to make the most out of my tiny closet of a living space. I would like to find a good tv tuner that supports digital and analog signals. I have a gamecube so it would be nice if i could hook that up to my laptop too. I think i read somewhere that vista has problems with combo tuners, is this true?

If anyone could recommend me a product that would be great. I dont mind spending a little bit more than $100 but i would like to keep it reasonable. Thanks.

Try the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-950 hybrid USB TV tuner on sale at Radio Shack and CompUSA. Does analog, digital and cable channels. Comes with an antenna for digital and analog channels. Box says Vista and XP compatible. I have XP MCE and the digital channels look great (HD quality)!

Consider the Pinnacle USB HDTV Tuner. Its very small, and comes with a remote. BestBuy has it on sale this week for $79.99.

This may be a noobie question, but does all hd content broadcast in mpeg-2 format? I am asking because i would much rather use mpeg-4.

and can i play my gamecube on these?
