I was just wondering what you guys recommend. I was looking for 500GB-1TB, hopefully under $130. It doesn't matter if it's 3.5 or 2.5, but I want to be able to throw it in a backpack and take it to work. It won't be rough, but it can't be flimsy. Aesthetics sort of matter.

Don't get a SeaGate. I've had 2 SeaGates before and both drives failed.

not preferably, but I could live with one. Preferably I would like one that would just go off of the computer's power.

So you need a 2.5" portable then. Those don't come in TB as far as I know. Biggest I've seen is 600gb. Runs through usb.

Yeah, that's fine. I've seen better ones on Newegg.com though for better prices too. I'm downloading some stuff, so my internet is really lagging or else I'd help look.

The biggest possible portable is 500 GBs. My friend has a WD PassPort, its really light and is really sexy looking.

I think I've narrowed it down to this and this.

    Any other recommended drives?
