Hiya, im looking for a TV tuner that will support the yellow/red/white cables (like those that run from a gamecube to a tv), because im looking to use one to connect my gamecube to my laptop.

Im also looking to attach my other monitor so i can use it for the gamecube instead of my main screen, however the only connector on my laptop (xps m1530) that is available to my monitor is VGA, and it gives me clearly defined horizontal lines, kinda like progressive scan.

Im wondering if their is a dvi -> vga adaptor that wont reduce the quality, oh a dvi/vga -> hdmi that will also not decrease the quality, but rather make it better.

The max resolution il be needing is 1440*900, so i dont think HDMI is necesary (also because of the price), but i cant seem to find these at any stores im looking at.

    thanks :)

You do know you may have lag?

I'm glad you looked again otherwise I'd have to mock you mercilessly.

Anyway, you do have to be concerned with lag when you're looking at tv tuners for gaming. Using the expresscard interface vs usb will reduce the chances of experiencing lag because of the higher bandwith. Also reading the reviews help. This guy says it works fine for gaming:

    " Amazing!!

Pros: Everything works amazing!!! Can play my xbox 360 on my laptop screen without lag, hooked my cable tv up. Saved me tons of money!! Can change settings to get best picture. Running on Vista 32bit. Works amazing with vista mce-can pause and rewind live tv...
    "

And if you wanted to go the USB route; USB adapters that show no lag during gaming came out a few years ago. So if you look hard enough you can find them, they're out there.
