    Hi all,

I am looking for a stereo speaker set (if necessary a sub-woofer) for my desk at home.

What do I want to use it for?

    - Music
    - Movies
    - Games

My room is very small so it does not have to be too powerful.

Dont want to spend more than 150USD.

    Any recommendations from you guys?

    Thanks for the help.

    Have a great week end.

I got my Z506's for 70$ a while back! There 90$ i think on Newegg.com right now. They are 5.1, and it performs pretty good for its price.

For a desktop or laptop? What jacks are available on the PC? Is there just a single speaker jack (usually for notebooks), or 3-6 colored jacks (and which colors, usually for desktops). What audio card (some don't support 5.1 or 7.1 configurations)?

I am a Logitech fan, I currently own those: Logitech Z623, they are great and very powerful.
Considering your room is "very small" the Z323 could be more than enough.

    Hi,

thanks for your recommendations. I will get the new MBP when it is out and will use it mainly with this machine. Right now I would use it with my T60.

    Hm,

the more I think about it the more I come to the conclusion not to spend that much money on them. I think I will go for something like the Logitech Z323 30 Watts.

Might drive to the best buy today to check some out directly.
