I'm currently using a Logitech MX-518 and loving it, having used it for a solid year now. However, it does get a tad unwieldy to transport at times, being a wired mouse, so I'm looking for a new mouse, which should meet these specifications:

    1) Ergonomics This is a crucial aspect. I love the ergonomic feel of the MX518, but many mice are even more ergonomic than the MX518.

    2) Wireless My computer is not capable of Bluetooth, so a simple USB receiver should suffice. Ideally, the receiver should be nano-sized and/or storable inside the mouse.

    3) Price I am aiming to spend $50-$75. I believe I bought the MX-518 for no more than $50. I plan to purchase the mouse online from eBay or resellers such as Amazon, so older mouse models are in consideration.

    4) Size I have small hands, so small mice are not only possible, but even preferred. As this mouse will be travelling everywhere with me, a smaller size would be a boon.

    - I do play games, but I do not play FPS/Shooters, so DPI is not a critical factor. My MX-518 served me well with its eight buttons, but I no longer have any need for those extra three buttons, so a standard five-button mouse will suffice.

    - As for my hand grip style, I tend to alternate between a palm grip and a pseudo palm-fingertip grip, mainly due to comfort reasons (when my palm becomes sweaty, for example).

    Any input is highly appreciated.

If you like the 518, probably check Logitech G7 kinda expensive but should have the same grip as you used to already.

Another option for small reciever type is the Logitech Marathon Mouse M705 $49.99 just bought it for my brother since he didnt want to bother charging or with much batteries, not sure how much they last, i doubt 3 years is under heavy usage.

Other well regarded wireless Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX and Logitech Performance Mouse MX. Another option if you wanna go bluetooth is Razer Orochi Bluetooth Notebook Gaming Mouse

The Microsoft Explorer Mini is a great mouse.

I'm currently using the full size version, and loving it.

Logitech anywhere mouse. You'll love the scroll wheel that switches from free spin to click on the fly. Has forward and back buttons that can be programmed to do many different things. Has a search button that can also be reprogrammed to do other things. I have mine set to middle mouse.

Runs on 2 AA batts. I use rechargeable NimH batts. Lasts about a month of daily use with those batts. Longer with alkaline AAs.

The receiver is a nano type that only sticks out about 1/4 of an inch.

It's a very well made mouse. Can't go wrong.

I second this. The Anywhere MX is a great mouse and has the smallest receiver of any USB wireless mouse I've ever seen.

So I went to Best Buy today and sampled some mice. I was extremely impressed with the ergonomic feel of the Logitech MX620 and the Logitech M500 (corded). The Logitech Performance Mouse MX felt sculpted, but not as comfortable as the other two. The Anywhere Mouse MX was nice, but smaller than I anticipated, and I don't think I could spend more than a few hours comfortably with that mouse. Some of the Microsoft mice I tried also felt nice, but none of them were sculpted for the right hand, which I prefer.

Are there any other mice similar in feel to the MX620 and M500? If not, I may have to make my decision between the two.

Thanks for the input. But I'm really looking for a mouse that feels similar to the M500 and MX620. As I've already said, the Performance Mouse MX feels nice, but not as nice as the other two.

My vote goes to Razer Orochi, it's $69.99 on Amazon with free shipping. And with an extra $2 you can get a mini Bluetooth adapter.

A mouse that prevents injuries? That's it??? Such a fancy word just to mean that it prevents injuries from use?

You could try reading the forum, or using the search option instead of starting threads. Maybe read the other 58 threads on mice in this section of the forum alone. That would give you a good idea about mice. Or go to Google and raed reviews and then compare what you read there with what people on the forum say about the mice.

Aside, I'm looking for a laptop bag. Anyone know of a good laptop bag?

I can also recommend Microsoft explorer mini. A friend of mine has it and says he absolutely loves it. I've tried it few times and also think that it's great.

    Hi there,

I had RSI some time ago and switched mouses a month ago.
This is also a Wireless mouse for PC or Mac. The nice thing here is the trackball, takes some time to get used to it but definitely helps against any strain in the lower arm.

    Thats the model
