I love my current samsung buds that came with my galaxy note 2, but I keep losing ear pieces and there is no option for a computer mic. Id like to have inline volume/play-pause, good sound, durability and the ability to work as a mic on my computer. Right now the ear buds that fit all but the inline volume nicely are the razer hammerhead pro. If yall have any other recommendations please let me know. Thanks!

Are you wanting them wired or would you be willing to go rebel and buy Bluetooth ear buds? That's what I'm doing...Jaybird Bluebuds X. I found someone who owns them and though they're awkward to wear, they sound damn good for Bluetooth ear buds.

Only problem with bluetooth is having to charge yet another device. But I'll look around.

As for skull candy I'll search their site and see if they make anything that fits all of my criteria and then go from there. Thanks for the replies.

What's your approximate budget? For the mic, are you using it in a combined headphone/mic port or on a machine that still has separate headphone and mic plugs?

I'm looking for all in one headset. The razer hammerhead pro would be perfect if it had a volume rocker. But honestly as long as it can be a mic(both phone and conputer) and headphones as ear buds and easy enough to take to the gym I'll be happy.

The Motorola S series has both the volume rocker, pause/play and call button. But the most current version (S11) sounds terrible...at least to me. I had an S9-HD for a long time and it worked great. If you just want something inexpensive to hold you over until you find something more permanent, try the S9-HDs.

I'm sure there is plenty of hate for them, but I use the Earpods because they integrate so well with my Macbook and iPhone. Has controls for music/volume and the sound isn't terrible.

I have the Kinivo Bluetooth headset. They aren't earbuds but they are fantastic; it feels great not to have wires dangling around you all the time.

I think the problem is the three-button remote requirement. Obviously with a Bluetooth headset all the controls will work, but the vast majority of three-button headsets are made for iBaa devices.

This Klipsch is usually well reviewed and has full Android control: S4 (II) Android In Ear Headphones | High Quality Audio by Klipsch®

I use jacked Bluetooth headsets with my generic and custom in-ears.
A few options exist from Nokia, Samsung, Jabra, Sony - the usual suspects. e.g. Bluetooth Headset, Jabra CLIPPER

The volume rocker wasnt a requirement just a nice to have, the mic working for both phone and computer was. I have a samsung earbuds that came with my galaxy note 2 and they are great with a volume rocker, pause/play/answer and hang up. But they do not work for my computer as a mic and the ear pieces fall off too easily and despite having 2 pairs (my mom gave me her note 2 headphones) I have run out of ear pieces for them. I wasnt a fan of Bluetooth due to not wanting to charge another bluetooth device (already have 2).

I have been looking around and other then the razer hammerhead pro and some other brands I have never heard of nobody makes a earbud system that can work as a full on gaming/skype headset. So I just used my amazon gift cards from christmas for a razer hammerhead pro. Sure they may not be top notch, but they got decent reviews and they have the key ingredient of what I needed.

Oh! So you wanted to go from earbuds to your laptop using only the single 3.5mm plug with Mic support. I've looked around for those everywhere. Unfortunately, most earbuds with an in line Mic, the plug is wired far different than the notebook's jack. And most notebooks still use one jack for the headphones and one for the Mic. I haven't found an adapter that combines both jacks into one 3.5mm plug...yet.

Close. The hammer heads have the 3 ring 3.5mm for cell phone mic and sound but come with an adapter that splits them to 2 x 2 ring for pc. So I can use the buds for gaming and then use them at the gym on my cell phone.

Really?? I got a 3.5mm 4cc to dual 3.5mm adapter (one for headphones, one for mic). While the headphones will work, the mic will not...at least not with the earbuds which came with my SGS3. But then again, my Mom's AT&T SGS3 earbuds don't fully work with my Sprint SGS3. It may be just me and my weird SGS3.

Im assuming it s all in the splitter. Most splitters are setup for audio in not out it seems. As for your headphoens thats just plain weird. Maybe there is a problem with the phone itself or a setting gone awry.
