I'm looking for a notebook sleeve that would produce a snug fit for a 13.3" (Fujitsu S6000 series) notebook. I'm aware of the reviews for the Sumdex notebook sleeves, but they only have a 12.1" and 14" size. I believe that the 12.1" is too small, whereas the 14" would be too large, thus I'm looking for any available alternatives.

Thanks for any recommendations that you guys can give.

I don't think there really is a perfect fit for a 13.3" screen because they are so uncommon. I think only Fujistu and Sony make that screen size.

Titaniummd: Neither of those two websites seem to offer a sleeve for a 13.3" notebook, but thanks for the response.

Which notebook sleeve did you end up settling on for your S6231, Doleco?

I'm sure the 14" notebook sleeve will fit, but I'm looking for one that will produce a snug fit for a 13.3" notebook. I don't want the notebook to move around in the sleeve, so I was looking for smaller sleeves. I did come around some mention of the possibility of using the Shinza ZeroShock 12" case, but haven't heard back too much about success with the case.

    Shinza Interior dimensions (W x D x H): 11.42 x 1.57 x 9.45 inches
    Fujitsu S6231 dimensions: 11.5 x 1.28 x 9.3

So the slight width difference has me concerned about jamming it into a sleeve. I do want the snug fit, but not tight enough that it would damage the notebook or the sleeve... Bit of a dilemma isn't it?

BOOQ 14" Vyper will definitely fit your 13.3 inch laptop as it does my 14 inch Compaq laptop [ ;)]

I've seen favorable comments on another forum about these sleeves. It actually looks like they have one designed for the S6000 series. I'm thinking of getting one too.

I purchased an Incase Nylon Sleeve. It's dimensions are exactly the size for the S6231. However, they are pricey so I still may return it. Since I am extra paranoid this sleeve is small enough to fir in a 14.1 in Sumdex impact guard (which I have coming my way. hehe.)

As I said in an earlier post, I'm been using an InCase sleeve for aslong as I have owned my s6231. It is a perfect fit in regards to size. I've determined padding is relative because during my search for a notebook bag (which I have) I found out that the majority of people's definition of well padded was not much less than what I consider well padded.

I'm going to post a review on that sleeve soon.

I'm not sure if your Fujitsu 13.3 is the same size as sony S series (13.3 wide). My friend's Sony S260P fits perfectly, like it made for it, in this case

    http://www.sumdex.com/core/PON-306.asp
    Dimensions
    Exterior: 13.5" x 10.5" x 2.5"
    Interior: 12 " x 10" x 2"

    It's less than $20 at ebags.com

You can google free shipping code for ebags.com
order, try it out, if you don't like it, return it for free

Is the best idea to get a sleeve and then just put it in a backpack with some padding?

I heard that if you just slip your laptop into a laptop backpack then you could still be applying pressure on it and causing permanent keyboard marks on the screen.

Is putting the laptop into a sleeve then into the backpack going to help?
