I have a 9 year old 15'' Targus bag that I still use to carry up to 30lb daily. If the bag you listed is anything like my bag, you won't have to buy another one for years and years.

If looks are a problem, maybe you should look else where. But, Targus is a very good brand, and will last you ages.

Yeah like I said looks aren't really a big issue and I looked at this one in the store and it doesn't look bad to me at all. I went ahead and picked it up. Now for my laptop to get here tommorow.

I have the one pictured in the banner above yours (EcoSmart). I like it a lot, Targus makes durable bags (I have an old Targus briefcase that held up through daily use over 5 years). Anyway, there are better looking bags for sure, but if you can find a Targus you like, it's pretty tough to beat the value.

+1 on the Oakley. They make great bags. I love my Oakley SI computer bag and I've been trying to find a place that ships Oakley Kitchen Sink backpack to Canada for a while.

I'd also recommend the Oakley Echo Charlie, I saw it recently and it is very nice for the price.

I had a Targus bag at it fell apart in 7 months, they are cheap for a reason, spend 2-3 times the price and it'll last 10 times longer.

This bag appears to be a highly favorable laptop bag and has received high praise from Amazon customer reviews. The only problem I see is how some folks reported that the zippers are not as well built they hoped and tend to separate after moderate use.

I have had my Targus bag for about 9 years, but I never noticed the model. Because of this thread, I decided to find out by looking at the bags on their website. It turns out I have the Pulse bag. I wanted to buy another one to stock up, but according to one reviewer at Amazon, there have been 3 versions of the bag since 2002 and each one is inferior to the one before it. As I said earlier, if the bag you are buying is as good as my bag, you will keep it for years.
