    Hi,

I own an asus A8JM, it's a bit warm under my left wrist, I ask about palm protection in the A8JM thread and I was told to ask my question here...

Do you know where I can find something to protect my left wrist ? It's not very warm but if something exist, I'd be glad to know.

    Thanks a lot,
    Arnaud

Best (cheapest) solution for warm palm/wrist area is to get a thin silicone potholder/hotpad from a kitchen supply store. You can cut it to the exact dimensions of your palm rest if you want. The mostly-flat ones should work for most people. A friend of mine has an excessively hot super-gaming machine and uses the bowl-scraper variety on the hottest side of the touchpad; it offers much more thickness than the mostly-flat potholders do. I like the concave shape of the bowl-scraper better than the flat potholders in practical use, but I suppose some people may have wrist-placement problems for typing/gaming with such a thick hunk of silicone on the palm rest. Your mileage may vary.

I just put a folded microfiber cloth on the palm rest.

I use a little foam donut that came as a buffer at the top of a cd-spindle I bought, and it works perfectly. The edge of my hand fits nicely in the donut hole, and since it's hollow, it doesn't get hot like solid objects would when place on top of it.
