I was really impressed with the Notepal Infinite, but unfortunately, it draws power from the USB.
I am looking for a notebook cooler that:
- draws air from the side or back (like Notepal Infinite)
- blows cool air up (not suck)
- powered by AC/DC outlet AND USB (so I have the option for either one)
Any help is greatly appreciated!
PS.: I have a Vostro 1500 that can get hot during gaming.

Whats wrong with power drawn from the USB???
-
EDIT: Actually, now thinking about it. Wouldn't drawing power from the USB cause an increase in notebook temperature? -
the USB is maxxed at 5v, shouldn't make any difference
-
hmm I like the notepal infinite personally
I've been looking and can't seem to find one that draws power from an outlet other than a USB. I bought one from targus and no longer use it, see my review for details.
as long as it doesn't make to much noise and covers a large space and is reviewed as cooling well then buy it.
nothing else should matter as long as it fits your notebook and has the fans in the right places for the vents on your notebook. -
as the person above said....5v only...in fact its is also 500mA ....so not much.
Also have you read my review?? -

lol! did my review convince you
?

.
Anyways, like the fact that it sucks air in from the back (not bottom, which is great) and blows it up from the top. -
I happened to have a 15'' wide screen next to me (not mine, a dv6000t). just put it on the cooler, and i can say that it fits very well
my friend bought one of these after i recommend it to him and he has a G1S (quite big
) and that fits fine also

You can buy something like power adapter for ipod or sth. It should do the trick of running usb powered cooler.

Although can't find it anywhere just yet.
