Once upon a time I bought a headset at Walmart for $10. They were uncomfortable, poor quality (exposed wiring), sound was okay, but the mic was great for the price.
But now I'm looking for a step up from that as it's kinda funky now. Sound goes in and out and people can't understand me.
There are so many brands and things to take into account that I'd rather just rely on you guys to help me decide. I'm looking to spend no more than $30. I realize that my budget is pretty low, but I was very satisfied by the Walmart headset and would buy a replacement if they still carried it.
Anyone have some suggestions?

If you have a credit card, or Pay Pal account, why not shop at Newegg?
This one looks like it would be nice, and has alot of good reviews. Newegg.com - Connectland CM-502 3.5mm Circumaural Stereo Headphone with Built-in Microphone -
Yeah I was actually looking at that same one. Couldn't believe the price and the reviews seem pretty good. I'll do a little more research and wait for a few more responses before getting them.

This is about as good as you can get for around $30 for a headset. If you look around you can get it $8-10 cheaper sometimes.
Plantronics - Multimedia Stereo Headset - .Audio 355
These are also good choices from Walmart.
Walmart.com: Plantronics GameCom 367 Closed-Ear Gaming Headset: Computers
Walmart.com: Turtle Beach Ear Force Z1 PC Gaming Headset: Computers
I'd look at one of the Plantronics sets if you can't find them the turtle beach will do fine. -
If you can spare $40, get the Plantronics GameCom 377:
Newegg.com - PLANTRONICS GameCom 377 Open-ear 3.5mm Circumaural Gaming Headset
Absolutely the best price/quality point at such a low budget. -
The hidden mics look very nice and I can see the advantages. I can push my budget to $40 since they seem like the best quality for the buck. Thank you guys for the help! Rep to all! *cheers*

I'm using the GameCom 377 at the moment, I like it. Open ear, but it blocks out a fair amount of outside noise. Good sound quality, with decently punchy bass and acceptably high trebles for basic laptop use. Each earcup can move independently, so the fit is comfortable. However, it can get a little hot after wearing it for an extended period of time. Mic quality is good, I've had no complaints thus far.
My only complaint about them would be that they mash down my hair (as do all over-the-head headphones), and that the bulkiness makes it a little hard to stow em somewhere.
I've use behind-the-head logitech clearstyle headsets in the past, but they always break down after a year or so of usage. Still, they fall in the $15-$20 range online, so it's cheap and easy to replace em. Mic quality is acceptable for Skype/VOIP usage, audio is okay and lets in all outside noise.
Looking great quality/sound headset, first purchase
