    How should we know? :D

    Here's how I see the argument for buying generic batteries: yeah, they're cheaper. And chances are, they won't irreversibly damage your computer. The seller ratings seem to speak for short-term functionality. But on the other hand, there's no guarantee that they'll last. They could die in five years or five days and you have no way of knowing. Unless there's some sort of warranty or the product is backed by a reputable manufacturer, I would stay far, far away.

    I would go with the genuine battery. It is worth the extra cost, because it is safer and probably of higher quality.

    I would never buy a battery that is not made by the computer manufacturer. I have heard that such batteries can even explode in extreme cases.

    it says the genuine battery is still from hong kong but it has a 36 month warranty. so. should i order 2 of them or no?
