I have an m1530 with the 9 cell battery and am looking for a sleeve to put in in a backpack for some extra protection. I have a $10 gift card from buy.com so something cheap from there would be great. Does anyone know how the m1530 would fit with the 9 cell in any of the following sleeves?

I also saw the Belkin one, but it was more expensive. Would any of these fit my computer snugly and be good quality? If you have any other suggestions let me know.

Hey there, I like the first one the best ~ The Case Logic for your 1530 w/9 cell batt! It just seem's like it would be a better fit for both! I have a friend who has the 1330 w/9cell & has a Belkin N. Sleeve, and it seem's to fit ok! :D

I myself, use the sleeve that came with my 1530 & 9 cell..and the fit is fine for me.

Hope that helps in the choices/question you have.

    Good luck!

    Cin ;) :)

Unfortunately, my m1530 didn't come with the sleeve from Dell.

:( sorry's...I was just using that is an example of a *sleeve* that I use to pack my 1530 w/9cell in (as, sort of sim. to a N. Sleeve, but of course not the same).... :) And, that there is some room in the sleeves, depending on the brand!

I happen to use the fourth one. Despite it's simplistic design, it's actually quite durable and I have lugged it around on occasions where I didn't need to travel far (or use a mouse/adapter). I also don't care for extra pockets as my sleeve's primary function is to reside in the backpack and augment laptop protection.

Diver, thanks for the picture. Is the case pretty slim, and is the material kind of stretchy? I am thinking about getting that one since it is the cheapest, but I am afraid that if I get one to big that it won't fit in the backpack well. The case in the first link looks like it is kind of stretchy and floppy whereas this one looks a little more rigid. Am I correct in this assesment? Will it be able to give a little if it is too big?

Yes, it is quite slim. However, the neoprene gives it the added bulk you see in the pictures, as it is about 3-5mm thick. It can fit into most backpacks, even my slimmest one. Stretchy? Well, the neoprene makes it a little stretchy, but within normal bounds. Also, there is a polyester (or something) lining on the inside. It gives another layer of protection, but obviously limits the stretching. It can handle 14.1 inchers nicely (since it has a little room above). I'm not sure about 15 inchers, but there is some allowance here (the neoprene at the sides aren't lined with polyester so there is room for some expansion.

I went ahead and bought the body glove. I just received it today. It fits my m1530 perfectly! I read some of the reviews on this case and a few people had complained of a metal logo on the outside that stuck through to the inside and had scratched their computer. It looks like they changed the design and the logo is now a sewn on rubber one that does not stick through to the inside. Thanks again Diver for the info and pictures!
