Does anyone that is using the NZXT+M1530 combo have any creative idea from stopping the laptop from sliding off on the right side? I understand that this is because of the the missing feet without the battery on the back right side.

the battery should have some rubber feet on the right side. did u mean to say, yur's fell off?

try to center the m1530 then slide it back to where the cooler and notebook are kinda flush. then slide the notebook, slowly, to the right til u feel it stop. this position should provide optimal cooling for the m1530 and prevent it from slidin around.

here's some pix to help explain. sorry if it sounded kind of confusing.

u could always slide the notebook further back til the feet are hangin off the cooler. that should make it pretty hard for any movement. the rubber surface is designed to eliminate heat pockets (caused by the bottom of laptop sittin flush on top of the cooler or not enough space between cooler and notebook). u shouldn't have any cooling problems if u decide to go with this position.

I only have a 9 cell battery, so it would look awkward with that thing on. =/ Without the weight of the battery, the weight of the screen will make laptop lean more back. This makes the two front rubber feet not touching the ground, and causes the slide.

so u use the cooler with the batter removed? why...?

well try to slide the notebook back til the left rubber feet hangs off the back of the cooler and use that position.

Nice setup houstoned, btw how do you like NZXT? I am leaning towards getting that for my dv5t as it's main vent is also in the back, like xps1530. Also are you using usp in comp, or adapter, as I heard some comps have had power issues with nzxt.

    thanks.

i really like the cryo LX. i was lookin for a notebook cooler that i could use on hard or soft surfaces, and was comfortable on the lap. the cryo LX was the only one on the market that could meet my needs. solid construction made of all brushed aluminum. well thought out design. was built for gaming/"power notebooks".

if u take a look at my first pix. u can see that i run my cooler via a AC-powered USB hub. its behind the cooler. as far as usin yur notebook's USB power, the dv5t shouldn't have any problems.
