Hello,
I just broke the display of my MP3 player. It can still play but I cant navigate anymore without the display. So the old one will be demoted to an USB stick and I need a new one.
I need about 2-4GB nothing bigger. 1GB is ok but a little more would be nice.
The main thing I want is that the player should resume the last file played after I turn it on again. I listen to alot of Audio books (books on tape) and they are often 30 -40 minutes long per track. I dont like splitting the MP3 because I found that I am lazy to do this... Ripping the tracks from CD is enough work already.
It is not enough that the MP3 player resumes at the beginning of the track but it should play exactly where it left of. For example Track3 7:33 minute. Since the Audiobook tracks are always long this would be nice to have so I dont have to fast forward through the track to find where I stoped.
Any ideas? I dont want an Ipod since I hate iTunes![]()

do you need a big screen? if not then you could try the creative zen V, they have a 2GB version for $69.95 at buy.com. other versions are 1,4 and 8GB, Ive got the 4GB version and I remember it does replay where it left off when you turn it back on. also sandisk have the c200 and e200 series with upto 8GB with a microSD slot for extra space. a Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB is about $200 with 2.5" screen

Just need a display to navigate with. A few lines will do. I like the creative.
Thanks! -
I'd go with the Cowon iAUDIO U2. Its a 2GB player, has a good battery life. and if you ever use it for music it has great sound quality. You can speed your music/audiobooks up with it, or slow them down, at any time. Its drag and drop, and plays many different file formats.

I've got the Creative Zen Vision: M and I love it. I listen to a lot of audiobooks too and it works perfectly on this player. The boomark function is a God send.
