Every few weeks my Bluetooth mouse will just stop responding, even after rebooting and pressing the discovery button, etc. until I remove it from the BT device manager and readd/install it. Any idea what could cause this?

(the PC it's use with is the 1810T in my sig)

Nope, it happens regardless of battery life.

Both my now dead Bluetooth 5000 and my current Orochi used to do that until I got rid of whatever bluetooth stack came with the machine and installed one from Microsoft.
