I did a search through this forum (and others) and couldn't find very relevant posts, but sorry if this is a reposted problem.
I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000, Windows Vista Home Premium SP1, the newest IntelliPoint drivers, and the newest version of iTunes.
My problem is that the middle mouse wheel will not scroll in iTunes, but it will work everywhere else (Firefox, games, etc). The only time I can get the wheel to scroll in iTunes is if I spin it really fast, but then the scrolling is very jerky and impossible to control, so it's effectively useless.
I've tried a few things, from uninstalling/reinstalling the mouse drivers and changing the scroll settings on the wheel, but nothing works. Is this an iTunes/Vista/mouse unsolved conflict, or is there some easy fix to get my scrolling back? (For the record, I was able to scroll fine in XP, mouse hasn't changed).

If it works for everything else but not iTunes, deduce from that...
It's actually a common problem, google scrolling itunes and there are many people that experience this problem. Not sure how to fix it though, you can go search. -
That's the thing, I have searched, I've tried the "fixes" on the other forums, and nothing worked. I wanted to know if anyone here had the problem and managed to fix it, as I haven't seen solutions on this particular forum.
And you don't have to be that condescending in your first line, I'm not a complete idiot. My question was more "is this a permanent mess up and we have to wait for iTunes and/or Microsoft to make something compatible, or did something just go screwy with installs and I can fix it myself" -

Weird, I had tried that workaround earlier to no avail, but it works now. Technology is fun.
Problem solved, thanks -
No problems enjoy scrolling

Well, it was too good to be true. After a restart, the problem is back. Scrolls everywhere but iTunes.

Ditch iTunes.
