Am looking at getting one to replace my aging G11.....have read a few reviews but am wondering what people who have had them for a month or 2 think about them.

    a few reasons......

i like to be different...especially if the difference doesn't really compromise.

    i like the movable numberpad

i like the knobs for volume control.

if i can be convinced that i would have a use for the screen on the g15 i might get it.

I have that same keyboard; the MS sidewinder X6. It's great. My only gripe is, there's no keyboard raiser, and you'll be typing at a flat non-inclined level. I had to buy raisers (Those circular rubber coin-like disks at the DIY hardware store for placing on the foot of the chair) to make it inclined. Perhaps this is a user preference.

I bought it for my CADding purposes because of the movable numberpad. I bring it to school sometimes to aid my CADding needs, connect to my 1720 as an external keyboard and its done.

And, the colour of red backlighting for the keys, I would advice not to stare at it for too long especially in very dark or during midnight hours - one time, my eyes were like a blood shot. LOL. :) Colour is fixed at Red though. When a certain key is not in use, it becomes orange.
