I just bought the "MS Wireless Media Desktop 1000" which has wireless keyboard and mouse (2000).
I connected to my desktop which has WinXPsp3.I notice when I turn off my computer, the red light on the bottom of the mouse keeps blinking. It does not stop blinking.
I am trying to find out how I can contact someone at MS who might be able to tell me why the red light on the bottom of the mouse does not turn off when the computer is turned off. The only way to get the red light (on bottom of mouse - sensor I think it is called) to turn off is to keep removing the batteries. Which is a pain!
Would anyone know how I can get an answer or solution?
    Red light never stops blinking.
    Please advise and thank you.

(P.S. My grandson damaged the box; therefore, I cannot return the product to Staples.)

Did it come with a software disc? If it did, maybe you can customize it to make it not wait so long to turn off. Like if there is an option where if it is inactive for 15 secs to shut off to save battery, instead of waiting a while to turn off (wasting battery).
