Been looking at replacing my venerable Logitech MX518. I love the form factor and its tracking. My only real issue is its size.

I'd like something with a similar button count (5) and layout but in a more compact form factor. If the product is well regarded, I won't have a problem paying for it. Mac OS drivers are a bonus but not mandatory.

DO NOT mention the Razer Orochi. I've used it in the past and haven't been impressed with its software.

    Any suggestions are appreciated.

It's an older mouse, but maybe you could check out the Logitech MX Revolution? This is *slightly* larger than the MX518, but the G9x w/Precision (smaller) grip has served me well. Not sure exactly how small of a mouse you're wanting, though.

Should have also mentioned that it must be wired. ;)

The MX Revolution is too large anyway. Size/form factor is the largest consideration here.
