    Hi guys,

I own a Mad Catz mous 9 ... which I know that is not a really gaming mouse, but I was wondering a few things about it to improve the performance.
    1. Best performance I can get is through the usb bluetooth receiver or to pair it with the wifi card (7260) ?
    2. Worth buying a better bluetooth receiver to replace the original one ?

    thank you

You can't improve performance of that mouse. The problem with performance is that you're using the Bluetoooth protocol. That protocol was designed for ease-of-use, and not for high data rate transfers or low latency. And in the case of gaming mice, you want low latency, which Bluetooth does not offer.

    1) You're stuck using Bluetooth, since you can't connect that mouse (or ANY mouse) through WiFi.
    2) No, buying a different Bluetooth receiver won't help at all.

So if you want to alter the performance of that mouse, you'll pretty much need to buy a new mouse... either a wired mouse, or a wireless mouse that uses 2.4Ghz wireless connectivity (and not Bluetooth).

Your WiFi card has Bluetooth, because your laptop manufacturer built your laptop using a card that contains both WiFi and Bluetooth radios. They put both radios on the same card / chip because it saves space.

But you cannot use Bluetooth to connect to Wifi, or use Wifi to connect to Bluetooth.

The performance bottleneck of typical wireless mouses is power management, not wireless connection. Improving BT (even if you can) won't get you anywhere.
