Im thinking about getting a laptop convertible where i can flip the screen over to a tablet and didnt know if anyone made magnetic covers to go over the keyboard so there was a smooth serface to hold onto in tablet mode . all im seeing when i search is magnet covers with keyboards on them. closest thing ive found is an ipad smart cover but idk if there would need to be space so the keys wouldnt get pressed. although im assuming in tablet mode theres a way to turn off function to the physical keyboard in most models. thanks

In tablet mode, the keyboards are always disabled. So you don't need to worry about pressing keys.

The other problem with some kind of add-on keyboard cover is that it can slip off. If it slips off at the wrong time, you could drop your convertible tablet and damage it.

I'd say, if you're going to get a convertible tablet, buy it and use it for a while first. In the end, I suspect that you're trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
