I'm sure it will be effective, but its quite large. Other cooling systems will probably do just as good a job, and they will be smaller. The other thing is that most of the processors that are still on sale, don't require such massive cooling systems, like the Core 2 Duo processors. Even with the standard heatsink, they stay quite cool. It will probably be more efficient for quad core processors.

Wow, that is very large. That may be tough to fit in some cases. Zero bring up a great point though. I know at least for the Core 2, the stock heatsink does a pretty good job, especially when you get some AS5 on it. Interesting nonetheless.

check over on Anandtech, they get decent temp reductions on their C2D text bed using aftermarket air cooling. I have a hard time believing that thing would dump much more heat than the Tuniq tower would, though it might help keep the board cooler by moving air across it.

and water cooling can be a pain that many people are not willing to deal with.

You know, looking at that and the size of it. I wonder how it would help cooling the NB and SB of the mobo. CPU is easy to find something to cool with, but the NB and SB are tricky on some mobos. Also, from the looks of that pic, I would be tough to use it with the 8800 in there.
