I have a SanDisk Cruzer Micro (the kind where the USB plug retracts into the casing) in 16GB and it's never given me trouble.

I have a Sandisk Cruzer Micro 16GB (same as Mastershroom by the sounds of it), and it's only been a let down for me. Granted, it was cheap, but the build quality is terrible (plastic casing coming away from PCB within a week), and the transfer speeds aren't much better.

Apparently, the 8GB version of the Sandisk Cruzer Micro doesn't have this problem.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid of, getting a 16Gb that ends up slower than a 8GB. Is there a way to see the speed of different memory sticks somewhere?
