I'm looking for a messenger bag for my XPS M1330, but I'd like to be able to fit some other stuff in it too. I want this to be my back for going to work and coming home.

I want one of two things
preferrably, I'd like a bag that has two pockets. A padded one for my system, and another front pocket for other stuff (keys, ipod, papers, wallet, etc). Just imagine most laptop bags, especially older ones - padded zipper spot for the laptop and velcro flap pocket on the front. That's pretty much what I want, but with a bit roomier front pocket hopefully.

Alternatively, I'd take a bag that does not have the padding and I could put the sleeve that comes with the XPS in it. What I don't want is extra space in the same compartment that the laptop goes in, or at the least, I want some sort of divider between the laptop and the other stuff that would go in there.

I do want room for the charger though, that can go in the front pocket.

As people post ideas I will try to say if that's more or less what I'm looking for.

    Thanks,
    Hep!

EDIT: oh yeah, I REALLY DIG the booq Boa slimcase S90, but it's so expensive! I checked ebay, they can be had for about 100 shipped there, any ideas of places where I could pick one up for closer to 80 bucks? are the booqs even worth the money? I've always owned swissgear and targus bags.

I used to own that bag, just the Chocolate/Tourmaline version. Since it'd designed for a 15" it's not really what I'm looking for. This is my problem, there are so few bags designed for 13" laptops, they're all 15" that "fit 13" laptops as well" Thanks for the suggestion though, keep em coming :)

I gave in and bought the booq after talking to someone who owned one. Hope it was worth the 100 bucks.

So, that was June of last year Hep. I noticed you listed it for sale only a few months later, but were also selling your computer at that time; so what were your initial & ultimate impressions of the Booq Slimcase- worth a bill or no?

    Thank you.

Well I'm glad I splurged. THe quality & feel of this bag, I'm blown away. Very rigid material on the outside, slick corded fabric on the inside, and the way it's shaped with the hourglass opening panel makes the other three sides curve around into the front- the shape helps makes for a very rigid design. So much storage, & the compartments are so intelligently laid out, useful size pockets, sleeves, stretchy bays, everything feels so secure in there. It's zippers are beefy and zip easily. Really high quality materials all around.

The funny thing is it's marketed specifically for a 13", & the 'max notebook size' were my dimensions exactly... but it was actually a bit BIG for the 13.3" Vaio it was intended for. In fact, I am now using it for my FIFTEEN inch (std. aspect) Thinkpad that the booq fits perfectly! I'm so glad I made that "mistake", because had I ordered one of these for the T.P. specifically, I'd have gone by their recommended dimensions & ended up with an M size.

    Highly recommended!
