    Hey all,

    I've been browsing through the forum, and the posts have been very helpful, but of all the suggestions for good laptop speakers, I haven't found any with metal dome tweeters. I need metal dome tweeters.

    Would someone tell me a good speaker set, with metal dome tweeters, for <$200, please?

    what do you mean laptop speakers, that is my question!

    just go find yourself a good pair of studio monitors, you seem to know more about speakers than anyone here. the only requirement of any speakers related to computers is that they be magnetically shielded. I think most studio monitors are.

    Alcal: Just personal preference. Sorry to be ambiguous, I just need metal dome tweeters.

    niffcreature: Sorry for giving the wrong impression; I really don't know much about speakers yet. I stated "Laptop" specifically more to state their use than any other reason. I'm going to look into doing the work myself and maybe getting better quality for the same cost, sounds like an interesting project.

    Still open to suggestions. Open to studio monitors that fall within my budget as well.
