    Hello!

I am going to buy thinkpad Z60t here in India ,but the notebook does not come with built in mic. What are my options overcomming this problem, like is there any card which can be put into the Express Card slot or something.

    Thanks in Advance

P.S I know about the headset mic solution i want something which can be fitted inside so i dont have to carry the mic around.

The number of expresscard devices you can buy right now is pretty limited. AFAIK there is no such thing as a mic expresscard. Your choices are pretty much limited to hooking a microphone up to the mic jack on your notebook, or a headset like you mentioned.

I think he ment that his laptop doesn't have a mic jack built in but I am not sure. Try googling for a mic express card and see if anything shows up.

No the laptop has a the jack for the mic but when i am in meetings i have to have the headset mic plug in to record which proves to be hassel since i have to carry around the headset with me. So therefore i was hopping is there any solution where something can be pluged in the laptop .

    Thanks in advance

I think this is easier to carry and use than a mess of cables or taking an usb port, they go in the microphone port...hope it helps..
