I'm looking into buying a mouse for my laptop... However I'd like to gather an idea of how well different kinds of mice work. So if you could tell me the kind of mouse you have, type (RF, bluetooth, cord, infrared), brand, and how well it works (button placement - if its wireless how well it works etc.)... I'd be very pleased [][8D][

I am interested in corded mice - especially the logitech 500/510 - and perhaps bluetooth adapted to a notebook... I mean a mouse that comes compatible with a bluetooth card in a notebook. But I've heard bluetooth interferes with the WiFi... so is this even a possibility?
Any info is appreciated and I thank you in advanced. [8)]

works well for my needs, I use the pointing stick on my ThinkPad most of the time though. -
Bluetooth does not interfere with WiFi in any measurable sort of way. I use the Logitech MX Bluetooth setup and it's great. I give it my strongest recommendation.

I use a logitech mx 500. I love it. I had an intellimouse but it died, my ms natural keyboard pro also died. After both sketched out and went within a year I decided to change teams.
The mouse is very ergonomic and gives me no trouble. I also have a mousman traveler which is also built very well and is very nice. I highly recommend either.
Get the MX 500 for gaming, 510 if you are a serious gamer, 700 for cordless, 900 if you have bluetooth. Or get the traveler if you want to take it with you places, it comes with a little leather carrying case.
The sensor on the MX mice is also more sensitive than that on the intellimouse (higher dpi). This only matters if you play fps or do autocad, photoshop, etc.
Since you want bluetooth, go with the 900. It has a bluetooth cradle which you will need to use to recharge the mouse, but you could still set it up to work with your internal bluetooth. You chould just put the cradle on another machine in your house and think of it as free bluetooth for that pc (although you'll have to carry your mouse to it every week for a charge, but it isn't too heavy [])

I don't have it yet, but I plan to get the Bluetake BT500. You can get a good look at it here: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=26-129-102&depa=0, but they are out of stock. You can search on pricewatch.com or the internet for more places to buy. It is a very nice mouse that doesn't come with any sort of basestation, it runs on AAA batteries and it has an on/off switch that many other mice don't. That is a serious consideration if you are constantly storing the mouse in your bag. Anyway, as soon as my zt3000 gets here, I'll start buying accessories for it. I don't think that will happen until at least next week.

Currently using the Logitech USB Notebook Wireless Optical Mouse on the notebook. It uses 2 AA batteries and has an On/Off switch on the bottom. I also have the Logitech Cordless MX Duo (MX500) that was on my desktop that I will start using with the laptop soon as I get a notebook stand.

I have both the logitech mx500 and mx700. They are great very responsive and comfortable. However, not everyone agrees I'd head on over to your favorite tech store and see how you like the grip of a few of them.

I use Logitech cordless optical mouse for notebooks. Good size and is a standard type. On the road, I use Targus ultra mini optical mouse with retractable cord(v.small and not good for long use- but handy to carry on trips due to small size). I tried all the one at local stores. these 2 were my choices.

I have the Logitech cordless optical mouse for notebooks as well. There's a bit of resistance on the buttons and heavier due the batteries, but I love it. Hope this helps.

Which of these mice use the least power from the notebook battery though? I got a Logitech MiniMouse from Walmart for my Centrino laptop, and whenever that thing is plugged in, my cpu runs at it's full speed ALL the time, and gets hot. Yanking that mouse out the USB port lowers my megahertz to 130-300 while idling. I spent the extra money for a Pentium-M processor to save on battery life, I'd rather have a mouse that does not cancel it out (This thing kills my battery within an hour!)
Any experiences with USB/PS2 mice on battery life would be greatly appreciated. -

my 9100 is on its way and i have internal bluetooth installed.
which mice can be used with the internal card? or does bluetooth technology allow all mice, as long as its on the correct channel, to be used with the internal card?

guys got any comment to go with a ibm t41p black looking color mouse ?
http://www.ug.it.usyd.edu.au/~mslam/mouse.JPG
the ASUS is available in large quantity in chinatown(which i can go anytime) for ~AUD$50, and the logitech is not avaiable in any stores, and only some online website companies have which take a few days to order and are around $70-80 (whether u pick it up yourself or by courier, which also need to take into the account of the location and tunnel fee and time)
with my previous sony laptop ive been using sony mouse which match the laptop perfectly fine and cool
if possible, please vote or give me some advise and let me see where the majority goes -
i'm currently deciding between the logitech mouseman traveler and the logitech cordless optical mouse for notebooks. any advice? wireless seems really attractive, but how's the battery life? and ergonomics-wise, which of the two are better?
-
i have finally brought the asus one, the reception isnt all that good, but it works perfectly well with my friend. so im kind of hesitating to have a go at the logitech cordless mouse for notebook (black, to suit my ibm t41p) or not, though its more expensive than the asus one ...
still thinking [?] -
yeah, the logitech ones are great, but they will cost a little more [

for those who had the logitech cordless mouse for notebook (black), is it a shiny, or the normal logitech mouse material ?
coz the asus would have been perfect and my most favourite mouse to be to go with the black ibm, as the asus wireless mouse material is kind of like suede, but for gals who put hand cream on especially in winter, it has some oily marks on ... but the material is so good to feel ... -
I used to go with Logitech until they all died. I use an Intellimouse Explorer for one and an Intellimouse Optical Blue for another. I don't really buy into the notebook mouse idea. Normal mice really don't take up much room. Small mice are very difficult to use with bigger hands like mine.
